President Giorgio Napolitano of Italy state visit to Finland on 8 - 10 September 2008
The official reception ceremonies and discussions with President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen have taken place at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, 9 September. On Wednesday, 10 September, President Napolitano has laid a wreath at the Hietaniemi cemetery, has visited the Parliament and has met Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen. Cultural programme has been also included in the state visit.  Minister for Foreign Affairs of Italy Franco Frattini has accompanied President Napolitano.
